Lions of Windsor 2019

Witty Events organised the popular public art sculpture trail, which featured a giant pride of supersized lions decorated by leading artists and designers, displayed across Windsor and the surrounding region to celebrate Queen Victoria's 200th anniversary.

We commissioned and produced the sculptures, sourced event sponsors and talented lion artists, which included fashion designer Dame Zandra Rhodes, former Christian Lacroix designer Craig Wheatley and a Thai princess.

 

We managed the event team and budget, liaised with councils, sponsors and key stakeholders, organised logistics and risk management, researched and managed suppliers, produced thousands of trail maps and marketing publications, introduced NFC 'tap & donate' stickers to each sculpture, organised media launches, the 'Roar Goodbye' auction preview festival and the Christie's charity auction.
